Weather
C'est parfait! The climate is mild in southwest France, one of the reasons it is the favourite part of France for many Europeans, especially those from Great Britain. In fact, in summer you could think that many parts of the Dordogne are England, as you walk from market to market and hear English spoken.

The temperatures for the region vary from 40ºF in winter to 82ºF in summer, with occasional frost and summer "heat wave." The sun is abundant all year, and it is not unusual to have lunch outside on Christmas or New Year's day.

The climate here is ideal for growing produce, including wine, hence its agricultural dominance.
